Founded in 2014, Beijing Internet Based Engineering Co., Ltd. (IBE) is a professional CAE company dedicated to build physical intelligence (PI) for the digital world.
IBE focuses on the R&D of CAE core technology. Based on independent kernels, it has developed Simdroid, a general multiphysics simulation PaaS platform, providing general solvers for structural mechanics, fluid dynamics, electromagnetics, thermodynamics, etc. Additionally, the platform enables users to conveniently build simulation applications without programming.
Upon the Simdroid platform, IBE developes specialized engineering modules such as electronic cooling, crystal growth, chip packaging, hydrogen fuel cell, electrochemistry. These modules have been deployed on a large scale in relevant industries.
IBE has also established Simapps, a cloud-based simulation app store, enabling cloud-native deployment and online usage of simulation applications. This significantly lowers the barriers to applying simulation technology, providing small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises with low-cost, high-precision, dedicated cloud-based simulation tools.
Through its innovative "Simulation PaaS + Simulation Apps" model, IBE introduces a codeless, on-demand approach to simulation software in the cloud computing era. This effectively democratizes simulation technology, overcoming the longstanding industry bottlenecks of it being "difficult to learn, use, and scale." Its solutions are widely adopted across sectors like electronics, energy, aerospace, and automotive, empowering enterprises to strengthen their core competitiveness in forward design and R&D.
IBE's team comprises close to 500 scientists and engineers, bringing together top-tier R&D and management expertise in the simulation industry; 75% of whom have earned a master's degree or above. It has also established a postdoctoral workstation and has five academicians serving as expert advisors.
In 2018, IBE participated in establishing the National Innovation Institute of Digital Design and Manufacturing. In 2019, it has taken the lead in setting up the Beijing Digital Design and Manufacturing Industry Innovation Center. It gathers diverse forces to jointly build a thriving simulation ecosystem.
