Demand Background
At each stage of the aircraft development process, rounds of structural and strength iterative design need to be carried out based on new loads, new requirements, new layouts, new changes, and new models. Due to such a large amount of work, a user-friendly aerospace structure “data + process + solution” digital platform is in urgent need to improve work efficiency and quality.
Solution
Adopting the material database and application software Matbook, the Aerobook platform for rapid iteration design of aerospace structures and strength, and Simdroid, a PaaS platform for general multiphysics simulation, the integrated aerospace structure simulation solution of “data + process + solution” can be used to complete tasks such as material data preparation, structure line and surface layout, finite element modeling, static and modal analysis, and post-processing for the BK900 aircraft model.
Being used in structural layout design and strength modeling, the solution has addressed three main issues: data acquisition, rapid finite element modeling, and finite element modal and static analysis.
- Data acquisition in The Matbook platform solves the problems of data storage and format interfaces. Users can obtain unified and standardized material, ply, and fastener data from industry public clouds or enterprise private clouds and directly input them into design software.
- Rapid establishment of finite element model in Aerobook. The Aerolab and Fembook modules of the Aerobook platform solve the problem of fast modeling from CAD to CAE.
- Solution submission and result post-processing in Simdroid. The solutions with high-performance cloud-based or desktop versions provided by Simdroid has been gradually mature and can be applied to aerospace structural simulation.
Future Applications
The integrated aerospace structure simulation solution of “data + process + solution” is suitable for various aerospace products such as civil aircraft, multiple types of UAVs, general aviation aircraft, eVTOLs, etc. It can meet the needs of data accumulation, R&D process solidification, and low-cost solutions for engineers in aerospace institutes and manufacturers.
